Plum Thicket

I spent the weekend sneaking up on mushrooms and talking to birds. It was bitter cold and rainy but nothing could keep me indoors. The colors in Clay County this time of year are surprisingly rich and varied. These plum thickets were covered in ice and the purple and red branches were giving off a pink glow. I was on a road less traveled by and it was sublime. It, indeed, made all the difference.

Thanks to Robert Frost for the words that were failing me.
